So, I've tried LOTRO quite a few times over the years. I always have fun with it but end up dropping it for one reason or another. I've never gotten a character past, like, Isengard. However this time I really want to invest myself into it. As I have always enjoyed it. This time, I think I'd really like playing a healer.

I know Beorning and Minstrel are the main two. I'm really not sure if Runekeeper is viable in it? There seems to be conflicting information online, old information too. So I was wondering, out of the two main healers, who would be the easiest for a beginner to pick up and play casually? Thanks!

I friend of mine just recommended me to play LOTRO. I never read the books neither watched a single movie, but I know how important Tolkien's work is. And I love MMO's. So, do I need to read the books to understand what's going on in the game? Does it still have a good player base? You guys have tips and tricks for beginners? If I like it, then surely I will read them.

No anniversary special sale this year?

Was waiting for this week for any special deals like were done last year, but it seems that nothing is different than any other week for the duration of the anniversary? I know we got double coins and that's a great deal, but it seems very strange that there isn't any special deep discounts or more massive sales, especially considering that the Amazon LOTR MMO was announced cancelled literally before the beginning of the anniversary. Feels like a super huge missed opportunity from a marketing perspective to strike while the iron is hot and added focus might be on the one LOTR MMO that's actually already available.

Obviously, yes of course I'm speaking from a selfish perspective because I want a good deal on some stuff I'm waiting on, but it really does seem very odd to not take advantage of the cancellation announcement. Anyone else feel the same way?

Hello folks!

I tried this mmorpg so long time ago I had forgot I had played it once. I think it was around the time lotro went f2p and I tested it out just for couple hours. But yeah: I tried to reset the password, the reset system was supposed to send me email but it has been 2 hours already and there's no mail. I guess I could have retried the reset system but I'm guessing there might be problem with old accounts or some other known problem you people might know about.

Question about servers.

Hi, i am from Serbia,Europe and i enjoy servers with lots of people since i like interacting with others in MMOs. Which one would you recommend and what is the difference between legendary servers and normal servers. Also would the lag(ping) be high if i played on arkenstone.
