Finally reached western gondor Posted: 29 Dec 2020 08:48 AM PST Hi all, this is my first post with this community and I couldn't contain my excitement that I have finally reached western gondor and what a journey it has been!! Best mmorpg I have ever played. I hope every one has a good new years wherever you may roam. [link] [comments]
I was loving the game but I have to say goodbye. Here is my feedback. Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:29 PM PST I was playing non-stop, more than 5-6 hours a day. I was doing everything in Yule and lovinf it. But I have to say goodbuy to the game. Soon I will get to a wall that to continue I have to pay, and It discouraged me and took away my desire to continue playing and I will explain why:.I know a lot of you probably will not understant, but for a non-american or a non-european person, the game is VERY EXPENSIVE. One of the MOST EXPENSIVE MMORPG out there. I mean, there are a lot of quests packs and expansions and thats great, I love that. But playing $15 / $20 for each is very hard. My country's currency is devalued against the dollar. The dollar costs 5x less than my country's currency. It becomes something almost impossible to continue playing the game. There are many games that the prices here are adapted for my country, like Ovewatch, Fortnite, World of Warcrsft etc. The Elder Scrolls Online here have adapted prices. In order to play the whole game with all the expansions I would pay, in Winter Sale, the same as just one expansion in LOTRO. Without Winter sale, would be two. Two expansions of LOTRO is the same price as all the things in Elder Scrolls Online here. So, the game lost its competitivity in the market. But there is no dedicated server for my country and I think it will never be o I think they will never do this kind of thing. I can only wait for this one from Amazon that will come out and see what happen since Amazon is pretty strong in my country. [link] [comments]
Guides from very early/Vanilla Lotro Posted: 29 Dec 2020 05:24 PM PST Hello all. I am interested in seeing how people played Lotro early on. Particularly the old trait/virtue system (pre-tree), ideal group compositions (raids and fellowship instances, were any classes considered 'useless'?) and the solo experience of the various classes. I am most curious about tanking and healing, Guardians, Champions, Captains, Minstrels. I can not find many guides from the time, probably because they were live updated when the systems changed with expansions/patches. I'd love a video guide but doubt any are around. If someone here has memories of that era I'd love to hear about them. Thank you. [link] [comments]
Is LOTRO a good immersive game? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 04:26 AM PST Hi all! I don't tend to like MMORPGs. I don't like the gameplay, mainly due to the ciclical nature of its mechanics and worldbuilding, wich doesn't appeal to what I look for in games. What I like about MMORPGs it's the sense of exploration and discovery of a vast world, the sense of wonder and getting lost in a somewhat alive universe. Is LOTRO a good game in this regard? Thank you very much PS: If you think it isn't, do you have any suggestion for another MMORPG? [link] [comments]

Throne coins distribution table Posted: 29 Dec 2020 02:14 PM PST Hey, usually when I run Throne it takes longer to figure out who gets how many coins than actual fighting, so I made a table to help distribute the coins as equally as possible. This has group sizes from 3 to 12 people. Hopefully it will help some of you. Posted: 29 Dec 2020 01:55 PM PST What are your favorite crafting recipes I ask cause I just found out about the crafting tools one plus RM pouches/riflers(?). Also looking for good food to grow/cook for 20-somethings. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Dec 2020 06:51 PM PST Hi all! I'm not a huge RPG gamer, but I'm super into Tolkien stuff. I just reached level 30 and realized I need to buy some expansion packs to keep exploring and doing quests and such. I'm definitely going to get the Evendim and Trollshaws packs, but which other areas are essential to get? I don't want to spend too much money at one time, but would like to take advantage of any Holiday deals while they last. For a casual player like myself, what should I get to continue my journey? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 05:40 PM PST I'm trying to do the epic storyline but stuck at the quest Mordirith's fall. After killing a couple of enemies we progress to where the throne room is open but Golodir just stands there and no new enemies spawn. Does anyone have any advice? I've tried to close the instance and start again but the same thing happens. Thanks in advance :) [link] [comments]
Expansions available to f2p players? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 09:01 AM PST Started this game today and heard about turbine points which you can earn by doing deeds. They can be used to purchase quest packs but can they be used to buy expansions as well. If yes then can I play the entire game as a f2p. Also where are these deeds? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Dec 2020 02:33 PM PST Hey Guys ! After doing Volume I and Volume II I'am pretty much done with doing any Epic Quest BS anymore. I wanted to know if I can safely skip Volume III - Allies of the King and Volume IV - The Strength of Sauron without missing any important unlocks like instances etc. I am going into Enedwaith now. Experienced players who have Valar’d an alt: have a checklist? Posted: 29 Dec 2020 05:41 AM PST I bought a Mordor pack that included a valar back when it came out. I used it on a Cappy crafter I had played to late 30s, noticed the character was horribly underpowered, and lost interest. I came back to playing recently and decided to sort him out, so I started by focusing on necessary deeds. I feel a little overwhelmed because of ALL of the things he's never done, it almost feels like I'd have to run through the whole game with him. Working on class legendary deeds right now and realized I have to get kindred with Moria to buy one of the books. So on to my question: other people who have a main that have played all the way through and kept it "raid ready" at previous level caps, how do you get your valar'd characters to a point where you call them caught up without going crazy? I feel like I've played this game long enough I could probably write a guide, but because I've just been diving into it, it's easy to get distracted and overwhelmed. For example, I forgot you had to finish deeds to unlock swift travel to Eregion, but I think that falls under the category of "nice to have" but not something that would get in the way later. I think I just need to focus on legendary class deeds for the trait points and then enough other deeds to max out my virtues that I use. [link] [comments] |
