    Hey all -

    I'm brand-new to this game, but with the downtime I have I thought I'd give it a go. I've only just made a new character on Brandywine (a hobbit minstrel), and was wondering:

    1. Is the early content of the game easily soloable, or is it better to try to find a crew to burn through it with?

    2. If so, is anyone looking to grind away with someone?

    Any beginner tips would be appreciated.

    Any ideas what this button is for?

    I saw this button in Tûn Melen when I was doing the nearby quests. It's just inside and across the way at the internal location at 1.2S, 61.1W in Vales of Anduin.

    I don't recall interacting with it at all for those quests, but you can click on it. It seems as if it would serve a purpose, but I can't seem to find any use for it. Tried to search online for it, but kept getting stuck on search results for the buttons in Goblin Town. Wondered if anyone around here knew of it?

    How to get a F2P Mount

    Hello, after years I have decided to return once more to LOTRO. I was wondering if it is possible for a F2P player to get a free mount and mount skill. I know you can purchase the skill in de store and then a mount at a stable, but is it possible to get this entirely for free?

    Getting Started with Group Content

    Hi everyone, I'm a long-time solo player (Gladden), but now that I'm getting close to the level cap for the first time, I'm interested in joining some group content. Which runs are good for a beginner to start with, and what sort of gear should I be looking to acquire in order to run the higher tiers?

    Install on Manjaro Linux

    Replay-ability?

    Got a Runekeeper to 75 and realizing that I kind of want to try out Warden, but man do I not want to slog through the same areas again.

    Anyone have any suggestions or am I just doomed to do so?

    Leveling my RK I pretty much stuck to: Elf Area (forget name) -> Bree area and so forth. I pretty much followed the books which I suppose I don't NEED to do save for getting a trait point in one of them?

    I enjoy the story, etc., but I can't deny that it seems boring to go through the same exact areas.

    Question: What is this equipment slot, and how do I use it??

    Ok, so I have put like 300 hours in the game so far, and I still don't know the proper way to use the equipment slot on the right just below all of your armor in the character panel. It shows a little flame, so I am assuming it has something to do with essences, but I can't put any essences I have there, and I can't find anything online that lays out what the slot is for. I've just assumed it was something I would get to eventually, but I'm afraid I'm missing something.

    I even found this character panel guide image, but the only thing it doesn't explain is the slot I am asking about, and the article blog it's from just references "a slot for your crafting tools" but doesn't clearly explain if that's the slot I am wondering about or not.     I would appreciate if someone could either explain this to me or just point out on the LOTRO wiki or something where I can read about it. Please and thank you.

    How does one travel quickly without VIP?

    Okay so I've been playing since August and made my first toon on Gwaihire as a champ and got to lvl 43, soon realized that I had to travel back and forth to complete the epics and it was taking me a fairly long time just riding, them switched to gladden to join a kin and made a hunter who I've lvled to 66 now and thoroughly enjoy the high DPS and most of all, the travel skills, other than that are there more effective ways to travel?
