Dual wielding question

When playing a class that can dual wield, should I use the same weapons or is it better to mix two weapon types? For example a dagger gives +1% crit chance, so when I use two of them, do I get +2% or do they give only +1% together?

Why is Facebook so prevalent for kinships in this game?

I've played a lot of MMOs over the years: World of Warcraft, Ragnarok Online, Final Fantasy XIV, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, the list goes on and on. But none of the guilds in any of those games ever utilized Facebook. In LOTRO, at least on Landroval and Laurelin, it appears as if every other kinship has a Facebook. I'm just curious, why is Facebook so commonly used in the LOTRO community?

Returning to the game, last played in 2010

I had a burglar back in 2010 and I think a Runekeeper. Downloading the game newly right now, I don't think I got so far as the endgame content at the time, is there anything I should focus on?

According to my account, I have Shadows of Angmar and Mines of Moria Standard. I'd like to know what's the most faceroll class right now, as I don't want to be worrying about mechanics much while at the same time relearning the game.

Character transfer? (question)

Couldn't find anything that appeared to be up to date, so thought I would ask here.

Is it possible to transfer monster characters? If so, how?

Was hoping to transfer my Defiler from Crick to Ark (since Ark's generally seen as the PVMP server) since I did put a lot of time into my Defiler and would rather not have to do all of that over again.

If someone can help me out, that'd be great!

I want to come back, but I feel like I would be lost. Their is so much to the game. I love Lord of the Rings and it is cool the game is still going strong, just wish I didn't feel like it's overwhelming

One the level ranges people dont fancy is level 40-50. Either you stick to Angmar and Eregion or you find yourself running back and forth across Eriador for Volume 1. However each of the other quest areas have their own little story lines that are worth the visit.
