Posted: 27 Aug 2020 11:23 AM PDT Hi I am new here, but I love the tolkien world and would absolutely love to explore mirkwood and mordor. But is it worth it? I want to get it, but is there still a dedicated fanbase or is it kind of smaller than whem it peaked? Dont hate me for asking please! [link] [comments]

A Confused New player with newbie questions Posted: 27 Aug 2020 10:19 AM PDT Hello, I'm a new player and wish to get all I can out of the game by playing ftp before I decide to purchase anything. I entered the code LOTROFREEQUESTPACKS on my account and was wondering if this code is permanent. Does it permantly activate the quest packs on my account forever? Or are they taken away after August 31st? Due to financial difficulties at this point in time I want to experience all the free to play content before I decide to purchase anything. Also I read about quest packs and expansions but I'm still a little fuzzy on what exactly they are and their differences. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed and I'm having a very hard time understanding the lotro shop and what's necessary to purchase to experience the full game. Can anybody dumb down things for me? What are quest packs and expansions exactly? What do I need to buy? What is VIP exactly? Does the coupon code give my account permanent content even after August 31st? Sorry for all the newbie questions, but I've read the lotro wiki and other reddit posts but I can't seem to wrap my head around it all. If somebody can explain to me what's necessary to have for a brand new player I'll greatly appreciate it. Right now made an account and entered the coupon code, and started playing. That's where I'm at right now. Thanks for reading! [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Aug 2020 01:33 AM PDT I've been reading around, and I can't seem to find any definitive info on this: do you have to get each expansion in order to get the level cap that comes with them, or do the level cap increases also come with the expansion quest packs? Or... is everyone upgraded to the new level cap as soon as a new expansion is released, and the expansions / expansion quests just give you the quests that help reach those levels? Boy, this game is confusing once you get into all the paid aspects. [link] [comments]
Steam player, any other ways to buy LP? Posted: 27 Aug 2020 09:05 AM PDT Hi everyone! I just returned to lotro and activated the free quests coupon and now want to buy all the expansions pack that are for sale for 99 LP, but Steam wallet isn't working right now I can't buy LP, where else can I buy them? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2020 06:42 AM PDT I did not realize my newest macbook upgrade would make it so I can't play LOTRO anymore until it was too late. Not an option to down grade the mac. I was wondering if anyone has tried running the game on a VPC with a compatible operating system? It seems like renting a VPC and running it off that might work. Unless anyone knows a 32 bit operating system emulator that would run on the mac and allow the game to work? I don't play LOTRO online very often but have continued my VIP subscription as a way to support the Devs. If I can't play at all though...I couldn't justify the expense anymore. Can’t buy coins all of a sudden Posted: 27 Aug 2020 04:31 PM PDT Bought coins before, can log into and play game, but the store doesn't like the username/password I play with. Any clues? [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Aug 2020 02:38 PM PDT I have just completed the quest line in MM and have 493 Sigils. 500 are required for just one of the highest tier relics. No one is talking about there being a shortage of sigils, so where are people getting them? I ran several instances solo, and only received a handful for my trouble. I'm averaging, say, 10 sigils/ hour so far. What are people doing? There must be an obvious answer that will make me feel like a moron. It looks like relics used to be 50 each, but now are 250-500. TIA! [link] [comments]
