But we're wondering if we have to keep our levels in sync by using the turtle stone or if we can just level how we want and dungeon together via scaling mechanics. Do scaling mechanics exist or no? Thank you! Example: if im level 50 and my friend is 20, and we enter a level 20 dungeon, will it adjust my level so that I dont 1 shot everything? [link] [comments] | ||

| Soloing Elite enemies feels conflicting (OG player coming back after many years) Posted: 28 Aug 2020 10:25 AM PDT I originally played this about a week into Shadows of Angmar's launch. I was about 11 and this was my very first MMO. I wasn't particularly great at it, but it was magical. I believe I got a Champion to about Level 36 before moving on. I have a lot of nostalgia and fond memories of it. One thing that I do remember was the game being much more challenging. Regular enemies your own level could put up a fight and the Elite enemies really were that, Elite. Forget being able to take on one your own level, you needed help to beat them. When a quest involving Elites recommended a fellowship, the game really meant that. Elites now feel about as tough as Normals were back then. It does feel nice being able to access many areas that I couldn't back then without a group, but that sense of danger and keeping away from certain areas really added to the immersion and mystery of the world. Granted, I am using a Hunter this time and even back in SoA, they were really strong. Their kiting and damage output was just absurd, but even they had a tough time against Elites. Do all classes handle solo content just as well with how things are balanced now or does higher level content get more difficult? Was 11-year-old me just rubbish at the vanilla game? :) [link] [comments] | ||

I came back and was playing my 55 LM in Moria, the only quests I can get are 58, and running around is a complete PITA (I've done Moria before). Any tips on getting back?
