I just want to say how wonderful the community has been both in game and on reddit for LOTRO. During this less than great period of time it's been really nice to find a overall wonderful virtual experience and community. So thank you all!

    Slowtro is walking into Mordor!

The highest level cap will be raised to lvl 115 on the 18th of July while we will still keep the lvl 50 cap for some time. We are not planning on starting any new level cap groups right now, but we will consider it in the future.

Join us ingame by joining the user chat channel Slowtro (type /joinchannel Slowtro) to ask for more information or an invite to the Slowtro kinship. The user chat channel is also an alternative if you want to enjoy low level instances, but prefer not to join the kinship. To be able to enjoy and participate in our kinship events you are required to join our discord server.

    See you in Middle Earth!

Looking for someone to play with

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 07:16 AM PDT

So I'm a huge LotR fan and played this game around 8 years ago. At the time I didnt know what mmorpgs were and I did quite enjoy the experience. I found the combat slightly boring as I prefer combat that involves a lot of movement and is more dynamic.

I stopped playing mainly because I had school and also because I really wanted to experience the game with another person, rather than getting help from randoms along the way.

Now with plenty of time during lockdown I was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing the game together. I'm not really look for help, though it would be appreciated, but more for anyone who wishes to experience the game and explore.

Edit: Guys it's so nice that so many of you have taken an interest in playing together. Really makes me happy :).

How to prioritise which Legendary Items to level?

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 02:27 AM PDT

My highest level character got their first Legendary Item from a quest and on the way to 60 has also picked up additional ones including some with a higher initial 'minimum equip' level. Given the limited number of slots to level legendary weapons how should I prioritise levelling the drops I get for maximum benefit?

So far my rule of thumb are in order:

    • Level to 31 any LI with a needed legacy at endgame for the transfer scroll, prioritising higher minimum level equip ones where the legacies are of similar quality.

    • Level to 11 any other LIs, for a few extra relics, rather than immediately deconstructing, Again I prioritise higher minimum level equip ones.

Any improvements to this or other advice?

I would really like to play this game but the last time tried the graphics seemed really dated . Any idea if they will do some kind of update.

    Blade/song/shield brother question

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 07:55 AM PDT

Could a fellowship of two captains have eachother as their x brother? Are the buffs exclusive?

My friend and are are playing a tank captain and a healer captain together and I want to make sure none of the stuff wont work.

Ps. If I cast noble mark on an enemy. Can my friend cast revealing mark on the same one?

Blade-brother can't be cast on certain allies.

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 11:52 AM PDT

In raids or fellowships I have been having issues when I try to cast Blade/Song/Shield brother. Specifically when it's the most favored classes like Hunter, Champion, Warden. The skill simply doesn't activate when I try use it.

    Has someone had this problem?

Hunter LI imbued legacy leveling priority?

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 06:39 AM PDT

    Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering what the priority is for leveling the non-DPS legacies on my Hunter LIs? Which should I be focusing on maxing up to the level cap first?

This is my bow and sword (I'm still working on getting an imbued bow swap): https://imgur.com/a/xIjQ6us

I've been following this hunter guide: https://lotrohq.com/red-hunter/

    Thanks!

EDIT: I'm currently level 117. Bow DPS legacy is maxed out at 71/71.

    Offhand issue for dwarf chamion

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 04:17 AM PDT

Years back dwarfs had that problem with weapons who had an issue in animations which lead to a significant dmg loss. Back then it was suggested to go with a 1h swoard even though the dwarf has the 5% dmg buff for axes.

    I wonder if that changed.

Do you have any experience with that issue? Should I go for 1h Axe due to the dmg Buff or a swoard for faster animations and parry rating? I'm going to craft the Elita vanguard xx of minas ithil. So I'd like to dodge a bad discision ;)

I'm looking foreward to any feedback. Have a nice day guys!

    Retaking Pela as a guard

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 09:49 AM PDT

I love doing this battle, but as a guard I feel a bit impotent. I use yellow line and swing for the fences but I feel like I'm not contributing nearly as much as my teammates.
