XP bloat and out-levelling content Posted: 26 May 2020 10:58 PM PDT Hi all, So I stopped playing LotRO a few years ago, dipped my toe in the wonderfully deep and beautiful world occasionally since but only for a few days. Given the bizarre times we are living in I felt it was time to return to the world I love and the game I had played since beta up until just after completing the Mirkwood expansion. I created a new character on Ithil as I fancied the slightly less overwhelming experience, rolling a Lore-master recreating my Laurelin character exactly apart from the Yule Festival Winterhome fingerless gloves (soon my precious gloves, soon...) To the point, I am outlevelling zones and content rapidly, having only just finished the Lone Lands and being 35, I decided to go to Evendim as it wasn't released when I was previously at that level. I enjoy a challenging experience and wanted to play content as close to level as possible but am now exceeding the ranges of even Evendim. I haven't touched Trestlebridge or Esteldin and will soon be on level for Angmar making the decision to purchase the Tortoise for 100 TP and may activate it to decrease my levelling, go back and complete the in-between zones then turn it off at Angmar and beyond. It feels amazing to be back in Middle Earth, I had forgotten how robust, deep and satisfying the experience of playing it is and also how great the community at large for LotRO is. Now to grind out 180 more Salamanders so that I can become Wiser... [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 May 2020 10:34 AM PDT So I recently started playing for the first time and I've noticed there are LOTS of quests. I've been trying to "complete" an area as much as possible before moving on to the next, grey quests included. I'm enjoying the scenery, and I feel all these little quests have done well at leading me around every nook and cranny of the map. Is there any reason not to play this way? Is out leveling the content a bad approach? [link] [comments]
Can we talk about how freakishly expensive it is to transfer servers? Posted: 26 May 2020 04:59 AM PDT Awhile back I asked about world transfers. My friend and I recently started talking again, and haven't spoken since they got rid of the old servers so we ended up on different ones, and have been trying to transfer to the same one. We've both started temporary new characters on each other's servers, chatting occasionally. And we waited. It finally opens up and to transfer all of my stuff off of Arkenstone it costs nearly 20k LP??? What the hell?? I only have about 2k. I don't even want to think how much irl money that would cost my poor college student wallet. This is a bit bit ridiculous and I'm very sad so thank you for coming to my rant I am slightly sorry. Posted: 27 May 2020 01:52 AM PDT In the past I have always made heavy armoured classes and only gotten to Moria, been thinking of replaying and taking my time to do nearly every quest, elite/group quests included, mostly solo. So my question is would a burglar or Hunter be able to solo group quests in say Moria and Angmar?I recall struggling with Angmar group quests my first time playing as a hunter especially that big dragon area in Angmar. Or maybe I would be better just sticking to Beorning, i just struggle a little to be a bear running around Middle Earth :D [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 May 2020 06:42 AM PDT I haven't played since about a month after launch, dont know why but I just couldn't get into it back then. With the current state of the MMO scene I've decided to give this game a real shot again. At least here I wont be torn from all those stupid crowd funding games that keep on failing. Yep, that's all I really wanted to say, just made a hunter on landroval and am essentially experiencing the game for the first time. So far, so good, even though I'm not a huge fan of all the reading, but it really is a good story. Wish me luck on my adventures! [link] [comments]
Any good in depth rune keeper guides? Posted: 26 May 2020 03:39 PM PDT Hey there, I'm currently lvl 40 RK and just trying to find a good guide that explains the pros/cons of different trait builds/rotations and such. If anyone knows of one or has any ideas that would be greatly appreciated, thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 May 2020 02:13 PM PDT Hey folks, couple more questions: 1) How do Beornings do in solo PvE and is it an easy class to play? 2) Can you stay in bear form the entire time you're fighting, or do you also need to fight in human form? Thanks! [link] [comments]
I just hit 100 on my champion couple of days ago Posted: 26 May 2020 10:54 AM PDT How do I get around to getting my first age weapon for him. And should I focus on doing level to 106sh and skip gondor or do gondor to get 106? [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 May 2020 05:44 AM PDT Is it worth to invest the time getting into healing with a runekeeper or in other words is it possible to heal remmo t2+? Thanks in advance :) [link] [comments]
