Looking for players to found a kin

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 12:11 PM PST

I have run guilds in many games for a couple decades. I and a few others are looking to create a kin. About half of us have played the game, but it has been a number of years since we played. We have top-notch players, in fact, we have the top hunter and warden from brandywine back in the day. Our guild was previously named "Mistakes Were Made". I'm looking to start that again. We heavily use discord, and are looking for social people that also want to run progression and end-game. I want people that are willing to help people from the ground up.

How much do I miss if I skip group instances?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 12:05 PM PST

I'm considering soloing the game and have no interest in endgame raiding. I enjoy Lotro b/c I think its the best, most comprehensive video game version of middle earth. Questing and exploring the solo stuff in this game is pretty chill and enjoyable.

I played long ago and remember the Great barrows being pretty brief and a blur. Are most group instances like this? If I skip them do I miss chunks of good story? Am I missing out on a great deal?

Lag Spike at the end of crafting

    Posted: 15 Dec 2019 06:24 AM PST

I am noticing a mildly-annoying lag spike while crafting, basically everything freezes for a fraction of a second immediately before the item is finished and I get the craft XP notification text. (This probably happens at other times but this when moment i've so far consistently observed it).

I have directx11 enabled, 64-bit client with ultra settings across the board, on a freshly-installed win10 1909/Core i7/Geforce 1060 Ti 6GB/16GB ram/SSD gives me 80+ FPS outdoors and 200+ indoors, so it should be able to handle...

It's not a big deal really, but I wonder if anybody else has seen this?
