Hunter or Champ for relaxing solo PvE? Posted: 25 Dec 2019 01:38 PM PST Hey guys, I have a mid-70's hunter and a mid-80's champ. I'm looking to come back to the game for a nice, relaxing, easy, solo PvE experience, at least until I build up to group content. Which of those two classes would be better for that? Also, with champ, what's the preferred trait line now for soloing? Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

Starting today for a new player Posted: 25 Dec 2019 03:22 AM PST Hello everyone! I was thinking about starting to play lotro for the first time, never touched the game before (except one month at the realease years ago). How is the game for a totally new player? How much money is needed to enjoy the game? I'm am a veteran MMO player and a retrogame collector, so I don't mind about old graphics or gameplay (most of the time I prefer it). Good solo/small fellow tank/support class (Aria 120)? Posted: 25 Dec 2019 03:33 AM PST Okay, I tried to keep the title sort of short, here's what I am looking for: I play LotRO with the misses, and sometimes we take turns helping each other in older instances/raids, and I need a character that can pull her through older group content from time to time (vanity items, deeds, time sink). My only real high (100+) characters are a mini and an RK, they can do something, but not everything and I think being light armor isn't the best approach. Now I have a spare "Aria of the Shopping" (120) from last expansion on my account, so why not boost a tank for that purpose? Here comes the question - which class to choose from? I have a warden 90+, but with current lag building gambits is nasty and it would feel like a waste to boost these few levels. Never played champ as tank, my captain is more of a vanity character at sub-60 and guard/beo are 20-ish, so I have no clue how they roll. Keep in mind, I am not planning on raid/hm content, I think that neither my skills nor the input latency of the engine qualify for that. So which class do you think is a decent supporter that can pull and hold mobs, take some pain and selfheal to some extent? If it's fun to play/versatile - even better, but not required too much. How bad is mounted combat on a hunter? Posted: 25 Dec 2019 02:13 PM PST How is mounted combat on a hunter? Can I just do what I did on my champ and set a key binding to auto-follow the mounted mob I have targeted? I have trouble moving and hitting attack keys at the same time, so that tactic is kind of necessary for me. Also, by what level does mounted combat end? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
