Now, on a live stream Cord had mentioned that they had someone working on this (this was a few months ago) and I was kind of hoping it would be another update with Minas Morgul. Has anyone heard/seen anything on the forum about it? I am thinking this will probably be in 25.1 or 25.2 (hopefully). I am assuming we're going to get it, at least, next year sometime. Thoughts? Iv been playing on and off solo, getting to around lvl30 before getting uninterested. I think if I can join a kinship then I would stick to the game. Posted: 13 Nov 2019 10:33 AM PST I am new to lotro and not sure if this is common or not, doesn't seem to be common according to horse guides...I got a free horse whistle that summons a horse that I can ride from some gift box, I got it around the time I completed the introduction quests. I don't have the riding skill yet and I am able to ride it...whats the deal? Did I just get super lucky and/or the game glitched or am I missing something? Is this some kind of starter horse thats super slow? I am actually a bit disappointed I got a horse so quickly, I'm the type of person that likes to earn/work for things, not given to me out the front door. Haven't decided if I am going to keep it yet. | Not having character transfers right now is a HUGE mistake. Posted: 13 Nov 2019 10:53 AM PST I have not played since around the release of Helm's Deep. In all honesty, I didn't even know this game was still supported until I received an email about the new expansion being released. This email was genius. I was ready to sub a month/ buy expansions right then and there, but I had a feeling I should try and download the game and check out my account before doing so in free to play. I went to login and immediately noticed the server I had once played on and dumped untold hours of my life in no longer existed. I persisted to log onto each server to look for my beloved characters of old only to be prompted by the create a character screen. I delved into the forums and this subreddit for answers. After way too much searching, including finding a forum post regarding missing characters, I was left still confused about how to get my dudes back. Ultimately I followed the advice of the forum post and submitted a ticket. Five days later I have been notified that my characters are currently locked and it is due to character transfers being closed and have been redirected to the forums for up to date info. For those that are more patient than me, good luck. For those who might be reading from Standing Stone Games, I think you are making a HUGE mistake. I have been checking this subreddit frequently and there are posts every day from people like me that want to come back and I think a lot of which will be soured by the inability to find their old characters. You are literally kissing money goodbye because that one day of hype has turned into hours of searching for answers and getting frustrated. The need to search through subreddits or wait 5 days from customer service for an update is icky. I feel bad mostly for that human burglar, elf hunter, and human champion who will sit on some backup server until this game is no longer supported. TLDR- wanted to play the game, was ready to sub/buy expansions/spend money. Will not now due to characters being stuck somewhere with no ability to access them with 0 time frame and being directed to the already difficult to find anything useful forums because character transfers are apparently disabled. I had joined a few months back and was playing on Anor but I am thinking of returning again and just playing on the normal servers and subbing again for VIP. I saw the quad pack for the expansions and was wondering if that was something good to get so I have everything unlocked as I level before I have to purchase the other expansions once I reach them? | Any way to get old items back? Posted: 13 Nov 2019 11:27 AM PST I have a chest piece and leg piece cosmetically equipped but no longer have the items in my inventory/vault. The items were originally BoA quest rewards, but I've long since done the quests and (foolishly) got rid of the items. Is there any way to get the old items back so I can dye them another color? I have disabled all the special effects and yet it still does that terrible lightning effect that is really unpleasant to my eyes - so much so that I can't even use that skill. [link] [comments] | ||
