    I'm brand new to LOTRO, and I was just wondering, what would be a fairly forgiving healing class to a beginner? The only other MMORPG I've ever played is SWTOR. Not sure if that helps at all with the suggestion. I was leaning towards the Beorning, as I really love their look and ability description...Healing as a cute little bear just sounds absolutely delightful in a raid!

    Ridiculous pricing

    I was hoping to return to lotro, but after seeing the pricing of the last expansion I decided not to.

    The base version cost 40 EUR, an expansion for a game that's been out since 2007.

    Compare that with ESO which originally launched pretty recently ( for a mmo) in 2014.

    ESOs mid 2019 expansion (which also includes a new class) now cost a mere 14 EUR. For a game that's technically vastly superior to lotro.

    Also I belive you can PVP in ESO without any subscription.

    Theres just no way I'm going to pay 40 euros for an expansion of a game that's 13 years old.

    What is easiest to solo of these 5 quest locations? (Level 100)

    I've got quests in:

    1. Osgiliath

    2. Retaking Northern Rammas instance

    3. A trickier quest in Talath Anor

    4. The Defense of Minas Tirith epic battle (Epic line)

    5. I've got one quest in the Dead Marshes

    They'll all level 100 quests, so theoretically they should be the same difficulty. I'm almost to level 101. LM. I die a lot when enemies gang up on me.

    Which one should I start with? Which one is easiest?

    Two throne t2 questions

    1. How many coins does throne t2 first boss give.

    2. Is there a bug with looting the chests?

    I've ran it twice now and the lead has said each time that's it's been bugged. Not sure if he just isn't able to figure out the loot rule or is actively trying to scam the group (granted seems like he was intending on bartering scrolls for everyone).

    Level 116 -- Where Do I Get Gear?

    I have a character who has reached level 116 largely via 'hollow' XP sources like festival quests, but I've done the first area of Mordor, and have bartered for the level 112 armor at the Udun Foothold. Since I hit 116, I wanted to do something a bit more on-level, and thought it would be neat to move to Northern Mirkwood. I assumed doing the quests would get me appropriate gear. This was only somewhat true in Mordor, and seems to be less true in Mirkwood. Are bartered region-rep recipes really the only source of gear for solo/duo play at 106+ if I don't buy lootbox keys? I can't even seem to find much gear to break down for motes, much less anything worth wearing directly.

    Mac client update keeps failing...any deals today on the March of the King quest pack or Black Gate?

    My Mac client isn't updating for some reason. Keeps "failing." No, I don't have the Catalina update, and I played it like a month ago.

    But yeah, I just wanna know if there are any deals on the quest packs for March of the King (post-Battle) and then maybe the Black Gate quest pack.

    Does the Battle end in the Black Gate battle quest pack? I don't know anything about it. Can you see Aragorn's coronation?

    And then I wanna fishing the Epic line of course.

    Or, maybe I don't even need any more quest packs! I've got the Epic line, which I think can give me the storyline end. I'm in the part of the Epic line where Minas Tirith and the surrounding areas in Old Anorien are preparing for Battle. I'm level 100.

    FYI Lost Lore of the Great Alliance got reset

    They appear to have silently reset progress in this quest at least some people. Last night I didn't have long to play and figured I'd go back and wrap this up only to find I didn't have the quest anymore at all. Found a page and it started over completely. LOTRO Forum Post with lots of teeth gnashing; it's not a big deal quest, especially when you're at 130, but this probably should have been in the patch notes.

    How do I know what expansions I own?

    I've been playing for a while and never thought of it but there is no current way that I can see what I own. The Lotro Account management page is useless and the Turbine page doesn't show Mordor or Minas Morgul for me. I've been trying to talk my returning player friend through seeing what he needs to buy for the rest of the game and there is no way to tell what he already owns. Very frustrating. Any insight would be helpful.

    Update: so the expansion purchases were email delayed and everything is showing now based off lotro store purchasable content. Looks like servers need the hamsters fed. Thanks.

    Instances locks

    Could anyone explain me how do instances locks work? I have not played since few years and I'm new to that system. I don't understand that favoured or common loot, as well as mithril and gold chests... How should I do those 4 new instances for best loot? All I know is instances locks reset are on thursdays.

    Stop tasks on quest tracker.

    Tasks keep leapfrogging onto my tracker if I pick up something. Is there any way to set them to not to dislodge actual quests?
