How's the, Mac client improved lately? Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:29 PM PDT Hullo! I am very curious as to how the Mac client has stabilized over the last few months. When the wine-based client came out, I was stuck in the state where I couldn't get the settings in to make the game playable in any configuration that I tried on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016). I was one of those players stuck with a wholly unplayable game. I had wildly varying frame rates, broken keyboard shortcuts, unreadable fonts, mouse cursor flinging nowhere near where I was pointing, and random crashes. It was bad enough that I had to give up playing my favourite MMORPG. The new client made my favourite game unplayable. Has as the Mac client improved since it's initial release? I'm hoping that since updating to MacOS Catalina, there are some system improvements that may help. Though, I don't think I'm prepared for the heartbreak I've trying to download the client again, just to be disappointed. I do miss playing LOTRO; the community is pretty fantastic. But I'm not willing to deal with the crappy experience that I had when the wine client came out. So, is it safe for me to come back to the game yet? [link] [comments]
Is the burglar supposed to feel this squishy now after its revamp (Level 93)? Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:12 AM PDT Hey guys, I started leveling a burglar last year (first ever character) but took a break right around the corner when the balance changes were comming. I just returned and I am level 93 running around in west rohan doing ~lvl 87 quests or so since I am bit ahead. I never struggled with the Burglar in the past unless I pulled multiple mobs. Sure, when I got hit it hurt but I evaded a lot (like a rogue-type-character should imho) so I didn't receive too much dmg per fight. But even now, me being like 5 lvls higher than the mobs I am fighting, often 1 mob is enough to bring me down to like 60% health. Don't get me wrong, the burg certainly felt very strong before, maybe too strong but now I feel like I am running around naked, like I don't evade any the attacks but I also have almost no healing so I basically lack any form of defensive utility other than 2 stuns which are one a 1min and 2min cd (playing a red burg), so it feels kind of weird. Currently I am not struggeling too much but I don't want to know what happens when the mobs inch closer to my level. I feel like at least in terms of defenive capabilites my burg got hit super, super hard. Is the class supposed to feel this squishy now or am I overlooking something? Also, how does it look at current max level then? Still super squishy? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Oct 2019 04:41 AM PDT So I was trying to find info about how one could go about supplementing their Figments of Splendour earning ... and the wiki comes up a little short. Besides dailies/weeklies in Hultivs and Skarhald, what other ways are their currently to earn Embers or Motes? I'm saving up for Visiting Banker and a few other cosmetics. I ran through Mordor quickly and never did any instanced content, so what I don't know is this: what Solo/3/6man instance T1/T2 can be run in Mordor that will drop gear that can be disenchanted into Motes of Enchantment? Is there other content in the game that also rewards Motes/Figments ( I know a few festival quests/deeds reward Figments)? [link] [comments] |
