| Posted: 30 Oct 2021 08:41 PM PDT This game has dated graphics when compared to newer titles, has dated mechanics, and shouldn't still be getting updates like it is... But it's doing better than ever, better than games that are supposedly "the top dog" in the mmorpg space, better than games with spectacular graphics, better than games with much more polished mechanics, and why? Because all of that is irrelevant when the passion isn't translated from the developers to the game and player base. I regret holding out on this incredible community for years and years because of the aforementioned trivial "requirements" that I thought made an mmorpg special. I regret sticking with mmorpgs in which it was a chore to log in and complete my dailies or to play content just to be done with content. Most importantly, I regret making assumptions based on what others told me about this incredible adventure instead of finding out for myself. I am having an absolute blast and I find myself looking at new mmorpgs saying "I feel sorry for y'all" because I can now see the lack of passion in these newer projects and I can only hope players find a community as dedicated and respectful as the lotro one. Don't ever change lotro community, stay golden and never try to become something that you're not. You being welcoming of refugees such as myself make it such a special experience as a new player. Felt like making this post for a few days now, just never got around to it because of school. [link] [comments] | ||

This not only looks cool but it saves you from grinding reputation and 5g or doing the goat quest chain. You can ride your boar the moment you enter Moria. [link] [comments] | ||

| Is it possible to repeat the instances of The Lay of Rust and Rime questline? Posted: 30 Oct 2021 07:56 PM PDT So I've been doing the Lay of Rust and Rime (halfway through it) and played the instance "Of Dreams and Desires" in which the Green Lady shows you Karazgar, Vethug and Hrímil. I really enjoyed the setting and overall feel of the instance and would like to go back and take some more screenshots, however, I don't see any of the instances for the Lay of Rust and Rime available at the reflecting pool in Felegoth (maybe not technically part of the questpack, as the associated deed appears on the epic tab?), is there a way to replay those instances? | Posted: 30 Oct 2021 02:00 PM PDT Hello all! Please let me know if this needs to go in a thread or if this isn't correct etiquette for this question. I bought and played the game a bit back when Mines of Moria was the current expansion. I have played very sparingly since, and while I don't care extensively about that character, I would like to use it since it is tied to my email address. I have tried using the SSG "Forgotten your Username" using my email. And I get no email. Yet when I try and create an account it says that my email is taken. I am wondering if others have had a similar issue or if this is just me. I have submitted a ticket to SSG and hopefully will hear back, but was just wondering in the meantime if anyone had any advice. P.S. I do have emails from 2012~ with my username in it from Turbine at the time. So I definitely did have an account with this email. [link] [comments] | ||

| What if I redeemed an unused code for Mines of Moria? Posted: 30 Oct 2021 05:45 AM PDT I'm VIP, have every expansion and quest pack, but being a physical collector I've been looking to get the MoM expansion boxed. Have Shadows of Angmar physical from 2007, but got MoM digital. So thought I'd maybe just add to my Middle-earth collection and get a new copy sealed I found for a low price. But my question is, if I redeemed the code, would the stuff in it like game time or whatever apply to my account or would it convert to LOTRO points? I'm just curious how that would work, if anyone would know. If not, I'll still spring for it just for the sentimental value. [link] [comments] | ||
