    Music Box Housing Idea

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 06:44 PM PDT

I've been thinking about this for a while and I can't believe I've never seen anyone bring this up yet, or something similar.

You've seen the music boxes that various housing vendors sell, right? And you know that they always have sets of three songs, right?

My idea is this: store-bought music boxes.

    Hear me out.

This is purely a cosmetic item, so no one can argue about it giving anyone an advantage in game. The store-bought boxes themselves wouldn't have any Soundtracks, but they'd be able to hold as many songs as the player would put in them. Then SSG could sell the songs individually, each and every one. So you could have your own custom arrangement playing in your house.

There are a lot of Soundtracks in this game (do a search on YouTube for lotro osts and you'll see what I mean), so if every singleone finds its way to the store, you'll have a lot of songs to choose from. You could hear the song by playing it in the store to see if it's the one you're looking for, in the same way you can try on a cosmetic before you buy it.

Each music box could sell for, idk, 200 LP, and each song could go for 50. That's cheap on its own, but it adds up once a player loads their music box with 100 of Chance Thomas' pieces. And suddenly, SSG is laughing all the way to the bank.

    Kinship "tiers" / expertise

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 05:34 PM PDT

I have a bit of an odd question... oftentimes in posts on this sub, people will mention "top raiding kins" or "top-tier kins" - to put it bluntly, who are these kins? Are there really kins that have a reputation for being the "elite" LOTRO players?

    2 Qs about Brawler

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 07:39 AM PDT

1 - are there recipes for crafted Brawler gauntlets other than at the levels you get as standard with each crafting tier (7, 12, 20, etc)?

2 - Brawler has it's own class armour from Remmorchant, is this the only special set the class has?

    Getting VIP

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 06:26 AM PDT

Hi all, newbie here and so far I've been enjoying the game. I'm planning on getting VIP for a month so I can gain the benefits, but I'm wondering if I should level up my other characters first to get the most out of it? Or does it not really matter?

Any reason not to appraise LIs?

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 10:46 AM PDT

I'm only level 105, is there any reason not to appraise one or all of my old LIs? Do you get more value the higher level you are?

Can I get a new one and swap between them?

Is all the legendary xp Im getting going to waste or does the new system not use it?
