I can't convince anyone I know to play it, but I'm soloing through while also doing a reread of LOTR and I'm just enthralled so far. I have about 40ish hours and am doing quests in Bree/Old Forest/Barrow Downs now, having taken my sweet time living in The (virtual) Shire that I've always dreamed of being able to spend time in. Problem is, I'm a level 18 Hobbit Hunter and the quests I'm doing have outpaced my leveling. Enemies are level 20 and I'm getting my ass kicked to the point where I really can't go any further on my own. But I'm also a little averse to grinding for hours to level up. Even with XP boosts, it's exhausting. I just want to see Middle Earth and meet these characters and enjoy the story playing out, but the grind (which I realize is a part of the design of MMORPGs) is burning me out. Any tips? Am I doing something wrong? Is it normal to get stuck under leveled and have to put hours into grinding? [link] [comments] | ||
| Need help finding a plugin (if it exists) Posted: 21 Apr 2021 02:13 AM PDT An online search didn't have any real helpful results, and searching on LotROInterface yielded zero results with various terms I could think might apply. I was hoping to find a plugin that helps you know where to find the various ore spawn points. I have noticed they have static spawn points, and while some remain familiar, I certainly can't/won't remember them all. Does such a plugin exist? Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments] | ||

I bought the game and the Moria expansion back in the day, on my Account Details it shows my account as Premium, with extra character slot unlocked, Moria content purchased, etc. Yet when I start the game I do not have an extra character slot, and I don't have the Rune-keeper and Warden classes unlocked. Do I have to re-purchase them, or is this an error do you think? [link] [comments] | ||

| Getting a mount on F2P, gold cap? Posted: 20 Apr 2021 02:58 AM PDT All the information I could find online seemed contradictory or maybe out of date? So currently, if I want to get a mount as a F2P player, I need to buy the riding skill from the store for 95 lotro points (or less on sale). But then I need to buy a horse for 500 silver (5 gold?). Is there a way round this without farming way more lotro points? [link] [comments] |
