First time playing LOTRO, should I buy a level skip?

So I am a stay at home father who also attends college, and with my spare time I recently started LOTRO, I am a huge Tolkien fan and absolutely love everything about Middle-Earth but have never gotten a chance to get into the game, that being said I am currently playing as a Guardian ( man ) and while I am absolutely loving the game I can't help but notice how much content there is and how little time I have. So I was considering buying a level skip to help push me towards more content and players but didn't know if it'd be worth it or not and if it is which one do I purchase?

Is it possible to gift another player VIP?

My search online has not been very fruitful, and the results are mixed. I looked for any sort of option in the store, and didn't see it. I also had no luck on the website.

I asked in game, and someone told me to make an account for each of the two friends I want to do this for. Even if level 22 isn't really that far into the game, I can't expect them to start over, and transferring the characters would kinda negate the gift aspect (at least from my perspective).

So, is there any way for me to gift two friends of mine a month of VIP?

Game Crashing

Hello everyone,

I'm posting this here rather than the game's forum since I get 'We are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later.' when trying to register for a community account.

Anyway, I'm unable to play without the game crashing. I think I've done most, if not all, of what other forum posts tell me to, and it hasn't helped. I can start the launcher and can get to Character Selection fine (there's been a rare instance where it's crashed before this).

I have DirectX9, 10 and 11 and have tried it on each. I've also tried different screen resolutions. I start the game, and usually within a minute I get Game Error [128]. There's been instances where I have Game Error [105], too, but I haven't had it since I've decided to post this.

I've tried on both the 32 and 64-bit. I've tried Hurin's work-around (https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthread.php?660811-Game-Error-105-128-DirectX-9-Errors-While-Alt-Tabbing-(etc-)-SOLUTION-WORKAROUND-SOLUTION-WORKAROUND)). I've tried downloading DirectX9 again, but going onto the installer it says I have the a newer or equivalent version. AMD Drivers are up-to-date, unless I need to check somewhere else? I've downloaded a compressed version of DirectX9 and replaced the old one with it, but nothing changes...

I really want to give this game a good go because I love the lore, but when I (and I see so many others) have issues like this, it's hard to trust that it's going to be worth it, if it can even be fixed.

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need any more information, just let me know. I've uploaded some screen shots to show most of what I've said.
