    Hello LOTRO lovers, There is a new imagining of Middle-earth that may tickle your fancy. I'd like to share it with you. As the well established LOTRO MMO has proven middle-earth makes a great open-world setting. Our Valheim RP server is launching now with an accurate Middle-Earth map for roleplayers and toughened adventurers to survive in. Come give it a try between your LOTRO events :)

    Valheim is an indie game that launched barely 3months aggo and has gained a followership of 5million players. It is a thrilling low-poly sandbox survival game setting the player in a norse world...However, we thought that, we'd repurpose it and give us a new home in Middle-Earth.

    You could: live in Hobbito; brave the mountains of Erebor; wander across the plains of rohan; or dare cross the open world from Helms-deep to the gates of mordor.... It is all there, in this custom map. We are a group of roleplayers and have a heavy emphasis on playing together as a team and community.

    Our server comes with many mods including effective Anti-cheat. Here is the highlight of our custom ruleset:

    • Mobs have increased difficulty, to make hunting as a co-operative party the defacto-norm.
    • Custom skills to improve character development. A skilled blacksmith would be valued!
    • Custom classes. Develop as 1 of 6 classes by completing quests.
    • Craft runes to cast magic spells, such as gate, fireball or swiftness..
    • Some QoL mods - Compass in the HUD, mob lvl/hp shows.
    • Death hurts - Our server enforces New Life Rule (NLR).

    We have a great team and would like to invite you to this world in this great game. Enjoy the emergent gameplay that Valheim has become so infamous for set in a Tolkein's world. Where you can be the one who lays the foundations of the cities we know and love.

    We are an RP server so please fill out the application and don't skimp on your character's backstory please! And look at ~Improtant-links for a simple walkthrough on how to get the modpack.

    ModPack credits - With about 70mods i cant give the full list of credits here. But credit to each modders for their work to make our server possible :D

    Over the years I have leveled 4 or 5 characters from 1-40ish in LOTRO on various servers at various years. Every time my wife and I return to the game, it seems our friends want to play on a different server, or start over, etc. I've never seen the content past Rivendell (i.e. Moria and beyond) and I just can't play through the same areas once again (or actually my wife refuses). With the way that the level boosts work, could I boost a character to level 50, then go back and play the entire main story quests before actually entering Moria? I don't mind going back and working on a few random traits, etc. as well but the thought of just playing through the full quest lines isn't appealing.
