Posted: 28 Mar 2021 10:49 PM PDT Hi Everyone. I see a lot of posts on here about wanting to do low level content and finding groups to do dungeons together. Like many others, I have found the journey to end game quite lonely and always find myself wanting to do the old dungeons...in order. With that said, I am proposing starting a 6 man group that will level through questing content solo, but meet once a week at tiers (might be longer in later content) to do the instances in order. For example, we would all get to level 20 on our own and then do these dungeons together on Saturday night: The Great Barrow (all 3 instances) The Forsaken Inn This would make the time commitment easy. We wouldn't level together, just set milestones to get to so we can do group content together. I am thinking Saturday or Sunday night dungeon runs, then we agree to move to the next levels on our own and complete that content until we are at the next tier of dungeons. I am a CST time player, so CST prime times work best for me. Please let me know if you would be interested below and we can discuss server choice/group make up once we get started. Thanks so much! @Mods - can we block guides from gamers decide.com? Posted: 28 Mar 2021 11:27 AM PDT Hi, every once in a while clickfarming site gamersdecide . com puts one of their paid editors onto writing five poorly researched articles about LOTRO that are then posted here to generate clicks and ad revenue. Happened today again. These lists are spreading bad info that could harm new players in their gameplay choices, they are universally poorly researched and written by people who do not play LOTRO. Can we get a blanket ban on those link farming posts? [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Mar 2021 06:35 PM PDT So basically title says all. Big fan of the LOTR lore as well been playing the mess out of SWTor. However curious to know if the expansions are in a bundle of some sort because it seems like $130 is what it will cost for all these currently. Anything to cut this cost to where I can play all the expansion stories for a reasonable price over $130. I could honestly care less about the buyable quest, but the storylines I would love to play. Just looking to see if they do sales or something on a bundle of all the expansions. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Mar 2021 05:25 PM PDT Hey I was looking at getting back into the game and I remember early this year an article about the development looking at having harder servers that made mobs more difficult. Any news on that front? Really enjoyed what I played in the game last year and would be all for having question be having mobs be a little more difficult. [link] [comments]
One last question about support classes Posted: 28 Mar 2021 07:10 AM PDT Hey everyone, thanks for bearing with me and answering my class questions so far. I've narrowed down my selection if classes to LM and Captain. I see people looking for both in LFF and World chats so I know theyre both needed, and I'm wondering as a brand new player (my highest level character is at 30) which would be easier to get into content with at end game? Also I keep hearing how bad it is to level captain, is that accurate or is it blown out of proportion? Thanks again everyone! [link] [comments]
Kinship suggestions on Arkenstone? May move to Crickhollow Posted: 28 Mar 2021 07:05 AM PDT I used to be in Kindred Spirits, but they have disbanded so after that I ended up going back to WoW for a while. Well, all that did was remind me why it gets really boring after you do the quests. Now I'm back to LOTRO and looking for a Kinship that is a cross between casual/RP and instances. I'm a casual player and enjoy the quest lines. I've got a level 50 Elf hunter. I've been doing some searching and see Swifty and Hammo or Athelas & Tonic on Arkenstone, but looking further I see more interesting ones on Crickhollow, such as Second Breakfast. Anyways, my goal is to actually make some new acquaintances and not just be an outlier member. [link] [comments]
Guardian's viability within the current meta (new player's inquiry) Posted: 28 Mar 2021 03:00 AM PDT Greetings! I'm planning to switch from WoW to LotRO and recently I've been checking different classes as f2p-player (obviously I couldn't play warden/runekeeper/bear). I found Guardian the most appealing to me, so that I think I'd rather go with this class. But. After a surface reddit and official forums screening I noticed that the majority refer to Guardians as inferior class both in terms of tanking and dps (though most of the threads were pretty dated). As a chronic WoW-player going with the class that would not be viable in the lategame kinda takes the fun out for me. Especially given the time and money investments which I will most likely have to make to get to the endgame. So that, could you pls once again recap on what the Guardians are capable of in terms of lategame. Personally I would like to play as a Dwarf-guardian with a giant 2-handed axe (either being a dps or offtank). Thank you in advance and pardon my possible orthographic mistakes (I'm not a native speaker). [link] [comments]
[Crickhollow] Does anyone know of any kins/groups that run Remmo often? Posted: 28 Mar 2021 04:34 AM PDT Back in the summer I was a part of a raiding group that has since been a bit dead. I'm looking to join a group that can run the end game t2+ raids/instances as a LM. [link] [comments]
Frostbluff experience - very confused Posted: 28 Mar 2021 03:17 AM PDT So a few years ago, maybe 2018 I was playing during the winter season and accessed Frostbluff. I always anticipate seasonal activities in MMOs and this was my first time doing it in LOTRO. However when I got there, no one was there. There were no quests to be given. And I was like thinking in my head, has this game really gone that low? The devs dont give a crap anymore? And I tried revisiting the place, I even brought my brother and we ran around doing nothing. We saw the snowmen, the forest. But nothing to do, nobody around. And there was this music playing that we have forever attributed with depression and gloom due to this pathetic sight we saw during the holidays. This music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWVv-yiKrcU Anyways, whats the deal??? I looked on the wiki and I see all these quests given there, stuff to build snowmen. Stuff to collect holiday related currency. I loaded into the zone several times without any change. Why was the place bleak and sad? The antithesis of merry. And im asking this now because I'm looking into the game and been glossing over all the items I would like in my house. [link] [comments]
Your favorite PvP class (both creep and freep) Posted: 28 Mar 2021 10:20 AM PDT Hi guys, Is anyone interested in sharing their PvMP experience? I'm very curious which side you like more? And what class you find the most fun/effective/both? Champ PvP I find the Champ experience effective but not too dynamic. I've tried summing it up here 5 best LOTRO PvP classes, but I'm looking to hear more opinions. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Mar 2021 10:38 AM PDT So, I made this list [Top 5] LOTRO Best Solo Classes... I'm certain about spots 1, 2, 3, and 4, I feel I was being pretty objective. But I'm not sure about number 5. That one is the most subjective, I must say. I just found Captain so durable and versatile when I played that class. How would your list look? Give me a different insight! [link] [comments] |
