    VIP membership?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 07:59 PM PST

New player here and I'm currently level 16. Enjoying the game and plan on continuing and I'm wondering when I should go ahead and get a vip membership. I know people have made it decently far without it but when would I start to really benefit from it zone/level wise?

    Stout Axe Appreciation Post

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 01:20 PM PST

I am guilty of being an Elf Fanboy but today I decided to try the Stout Axe.

First of all the intro is amazing. I find the story to be very immersive and you get attached to your character very quickly. IMO the Stout Axe intro is way better than the High Elf one.

I wanted to create a RK toon and I am so glad I picked 'em. They're passive are awesome.

*Please keep in mind this is a new player talkin'*

Do I need to buy anything other then the expansions?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2021 12:35 AM PST

I'm a new player. I just bought the expansions and wanted to know if I need to get anything else? Do the expansions include the quest packs that are in the store?

    Looking for some dwarven-style cosmetics

    Looking for some dwarven-style cosmetics

    Hey guys,

I am searching for some dwarven-style cosmetics for my guardian. Especially a fitting hauberk/waistcoast seems to be hard to find (or I am looking at the wrong places). The given picture by Thorin kind of resembles what I want: A rather simple chest piece with a belt and the "slit" between the legs (most of the hauberks I found are rather some sort of "skirt-style"). Bonus points if some sort of armor is displayed at either the legs or the arms or chest.
I do like for example the Hauberk of the Isengard Dispeller (https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Item:Hauberk_of_the_Isengard_Dispeller), however, I didn't play the game during the time this item was available.

Maybe on of you has something in mind, I do appreciate every help I can get.

Stay healthy and hope you all have a good start into 2021!

How do you choose your cosmetics?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 09:54 AM PST

Until my hunter picked up the ranger outfit In I think Enedwaith, I'd never used one and at level 100 I'm still wearing it. I have a defender of the Hornburg cosmetic which I'm thinking of wearing during the upcoming battle of helms deep, but will probably change back afterwards.

How do you decide yours? Does the epic quest dictate what you wear?

    Question regarding beorning

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 09:09 AM PST

I was planning on coming back to Lotro after a break and trying a beorning since I've never played them before. I was wondering how viable it would be to play the beorning ONLY in bear form, so almost no form switching in combat. How badly would I limit myself in terms of dps/survivability by not using man form in combat?

I'm talking mainly about the high level content since I know low level content offers little challenge. Has anyone ever done a build/guide/video around this or am I out of luck?

Is there an add on to help with the auction house?

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 05:57 AM PST

As Explorer, I spend about an hour at a time, every 5 levels or so (53 right now), organising my inventory and cross searching through AH to find market value.

The problem with this, besides the time sink, is that more often than not results will just not appear. It's not that they don't exist on the market, it's simply that sometimes a keyword won't find it, while a full title, or partial title will.

Is there an addon to make my life as a mats salesman easier? Or a website, or something I can use consistently to figure out market value.

    Old Bags

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 09:57 AM PST

So, I've had an account for a long time and am leisurely making my way through the world, I've recently made additional characters (mostly for crafting) and was surprised to see that while my main has additional bags with basically one line of storage, the new characters have a full set of bags with probably 4 or 5 rows of storage.

So, should I delete the old small bags and buy/ make new, or buy crafter carry all bags and if I restore the type of old bag will it come back with more slots? Trying to figure this out as my mule character ended up being very fun to play and I'm now running low on storage.

    Lag on character selection screen

    Posted: 31 Dec 2020 05:28 AM PST

Im hoping some techie in this subreddit can help.

On every character switch my client lags and spazzes out, quite often resulting in a crash.

I log out and then I have to wait and not touch anything for about 15 seconds, otherwise my client stops responding ( win10 ) and sometimes crashes.

I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to resolve this, and otherwise if I can upgrade any hardware in my rig to mitigate this.

    Thank you in advance!
