    Quests vs. Expansions

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 11:00 PM PDT

Hi, the current "Reclaim Middle-Earth" sale has 25% off select expansions with LOTRO Points (LP). This includes expansions for Mordor (1871 LP), Helm's Deep (3221 LP), Rise of Isengard (1871 LP), and Riders of Rohan (1871 LP).

How do these compare to the past sale for Expansion Quests of Isengard and Rohan (1196 LP each)? Is it still worth buying the expansions for Isengard and Rohan, if you already bought the expansion quests?

Pretty much all buying and rewards are now done by using your account info. No codes or delayed emails, but this also means you need to be aware of which account you are actively on or you select it on.

Ales & Tales, Landroval, Monday Nights

Tonight was more than a dozen bands or so for Nibbles & Nobs, which starts around 8pm server (actually much earlier) with the main show starting at 9pm with invited acts doing a 15 minute set. Tonight was in the Kingstead neighborhoods of Rohan. The location changes weekly: /join Alesandtales to find out, it's announced fairly regularly before the show starts.

Next week: Mordor! Should be interesting....

    Almost There

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 10:23 AM PDT

Hey all! Trying to solo the Fornost Wraith missions. I've gotten all the way to Remmenaeg, the final boss of the final mission, but I don't think it can be solo'ed with all his interruptions. I'm playing an Elf Hunter. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Leveling Question

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 02:04 PM PDT

So I have been playing off and on for the last few months as I deal with some stuff at home. Finally in a place where I feel I can start playing a bit more but kinda in a weird spot.

Originally I had a Warden that I progressed up to lvl 19 and was enjoying playing but I realized I that I JUST started some of the quests in Bree. I feel like for the most part I am overleveled for the area and just starting the main quest line (meeting with Gandalf) and wondering if I need to restart a new toon or not?

Over the years, playing mostly console based MMOs, I have gotten into the bad habit of really only power running through quests and really want to slow down. I did this (slow down, enjoy quest lines) in the starting area however I almost feel like I have now gotten myself to a point where I will perpetually be a higher level than necessary in the areas that I am moving through with the story line?

    Am i over thinking this?

Not available at launch, but some lovely regions to explore in Long lost questpacks 4 End of and expansion. A look at Fangorn, Isengard, Wildermore, the Huntsman and Lothlorien inside.

    Plugin for map and questing

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 04:20 PM PDT

Only thing holding me back from playing this more is the confusing map and quest tracker. I have lvled a few characters to lvl 20 or so and I can still not adjust myself to the map and tracker. In wow you could just clearly see where and in what area. With lotro half of the time playing is figuring out where defuq the quests are and which quest it is. Its really demotivating me to play past 20. Is there any plugins that has a clear map and or tracker so I can see where I have to go. I just want to chill and enjoy middle earth while doing quests.

    Up to date Runekeeper guide?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 01:14 PM PDT

Any out there? Recently returned to the game and my RK is sat in Minas Tirith at level 100 and I have no idea of how to use here again. All the guides I can find are well out of date.
