While mostly known for getting your forces to the battle of Pelennor and the black gate there's plenty of questing to be done inbetween. A short look into forgotten quest area between Minas Tirith and the Black gate

This theme makes me feel melancholic for some reason. Anyone else get the same effect?

So, the curator is in town! what are your favorite items and must haves? post pics!

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 08:23 PM PDT

I hesitate to spend my figments as I don´t have all that much and really have no idea how to really farm them. But in the Bree fountain I see tons of players gathered around the visiting Curator. What are your favorite items?
Acording to World Chat in Landroval, the Visiting Banker is one of them, makes sense. What else? favorite cosmetics? steeds?
(I have my eye on an elk, don´t have any of those)

    Question on Warden Complexity

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 12:31 PM PDT

    Hi all,

I've recently picked up playing the game and I am considering purchasing Warden. However, I keep seeing warden mentioned as one of the, if not the, most complex classes in the game. Are there are ways to play the class casually that are not as complex /need to print out a whole the gambits map? Perhaps that's just learning just a few core gambits and getting them down.

I'm a causal player focused on small fellowship playing. It's not my intent to indulge in complex system that is gambits.

    Many thanks!

120 Valar boost LI weapon question

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 06:15 PM PDT

Was wondering what LI weapon choices you get in the 120 Valar boost. For example on a champion could I get a 2h axe or is it just a 2h sword? I know it sounds weird but I don't want a sword on my dwarf

How do you experience the story the best way for the first time?

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 05:52 AM PDT

I want to play LOTRO with my wife, we are both LOTR fans but never played LOTRO. It's not super important for us to group up with other people, we mainly want to experience the story and the world we know from the books and the films. I've heard that there is a bit of a content bloat, but I don't know how that affects a first time playthrough. If it was a year ago I guess we would go for a legendary server but I assume that doesn't make sense now either.

So what's the best way to experience the story and see the world of LOTRO as it was meant to be the first time? Have an experience close to the one that the fellowship had? If the content that got added over the years changes the world a lot so that the original experience is not possible anymore (like WoW Cataclysm for example), or if the leveling up is now too quick and rushes you through the story, that kind of stuff if what we want to avoid if that's possible. Any advice? Legendary/normal servers, particular ways to play the game to have the most true original experience?

Is it worth doing book quests?

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 04:53 PM PDT

I know that some of the book quests are necessary to unlock some regions (half of Angmar, Moria..). These ones are a must-do.

Is it, however, any useful to complete all the other book quests? Book quests are so much longer than normal ones and it seems to me like they don't provide anything that would be worth the extra time and effort.

What are your opinions? Thanks :)

    Galadhrim reputation

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 04:24 AM PDT

Am I being thick or is it really hard, comparatively, to get to kindred status with the Galadhrim? All the other reputations I've done without any trouble but this one is giving me so much grief. Am I missing anything? All the quests have only gotten me as far as Ally status and I don't think there's a reputation object like for the others?

    Free quest packs?

    Posted: 26 Oct 2020 08:15 AM PDT

I got back into LOTRO in early September, and I'd like to get access to the quests. I heard there was some way to get full access to every quest with a coupon code, but that ended in August 31st, literally a couple of days before I started playing. Is there any way to get access to this now, because I am actually feeling somewhat frustrated after hearing this.
