Confused about gold and item value in this game in regards to the auction house

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 04:51 PM PDT

Coming from other games (more recently GW2) and been playing this one for a few months, and I wanted to try playing with the auction house and maybe selling some stuff on there, but I honestly can't tell what is considered expensive and what is considered a decent price. Maybe it helps to know how much gold you should have available at certain levels?

Also, what are some good ways to make gold at lower levels?

If it matters I'm on Evernight.

I just want to make sense of it all. Thanks.

Playing Lotro at 5120x1440p: Gollum Cave

    Is Warden tanking still possible?

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 09:41 AM PDT

I've managed to find myself back in LotRO again again again, and I know Wardens were in an odd spot when I played before. I see they got some updates to DPS, but is Warden tanking still a thing for group oriented play? I'm not worried about raids, just like higher level dungeons. 3/6 man stuff.

    Question about Gondor Questpack(s)

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 08:08 PM PDT

I've been a LOTRO player from the very beginning but took a long hiatus between 2011 and 2019. I've slowly been leveling my main and I just got out of Rohan (finally) and into Gondor and I'm noticing almost no non-epic quests. All I've found are a few bounties in Calmbel and the epic quest that just sent me to Edelhond where the Evendim mood was very strong.

I've seen references to Gondor Quest Packs on older forum posts, but I don't see anything for sale in the Turbine Standing Stone store. I'm still a VIP, and I purchased the Rohan and Mordor full expansions. Is there a full expansion for Gondor, or just some quest packs that go on and off sales sometimes? Or am I just in a very thin area for quests? Just feels like a big area like Calembel should have more stuff beyond a chicken thief and some corsair bounties.

    Thanks!

I really want to love it.

But I think I'm just too late to the party. I started on crick got to 20 without seeing a single player. Chat seemed rather dead. Played on Arkenstone but I feel it's going to be the same issue.

While I'm sure the game will be around for many more years the lack of interaction is killing me. I see the festival and fireworks in the shire and wished it was full of players. I can see the intent in the games design for community.

I know it's not a lot of levels and most players are maxed out so my chances of running into another player is going to be slim. I would just hate to put all this time (and money for expansions, inventory ect ect) get to end game and still not see the population, that this game was designed for.

I never expected to see a large population in lotro. Does it get better later? Are their more active players end game? Am I picking the wrong server? Or I am just too late to the game. My problem I'm having is the games entire feel and design screams with the intent for a more populated server.

The only two interactions I've had (and this isn't a joke) Some girl trying to cyber with me. When I tried to ignore it she literally told me, "I'm trying to role play with you unless you are too dense to tell" And another guy , great super amazing helpful informative. The kind of player I assumed I would find here. But he was the only one. I don't feel rushed to level or get to endgame fast. I could enjoy leveling with a more active server.

TLDR: I like the game alot. I don't think I can like it without a decent population. I want to see people running around doing things. Should I bother to start and invest time and money or will I still be disappointed at a lower populated game when I reach max level?
